Natasha Pieterse
General and Pediatric Optometrists

Natasha has always had a Optometrists with a passion for children and did several courses in binocular vision and pediatric optometry.Her keen interest in learning-related disabilities led to her doing a number of dyslexia Course for diagnosis and treatment of Dyslexia.
She then brought Biolink Brain Training to Pieterse Optometrists in September of 2018. Boilink Attention training centre (Roodepoort) is focused on brain training to improve cognitive skills with individualized concentration and behaviour control exercises through Nasa Inspired neurocognitive feed-back technology.
Natasha keeps abreast in her fields of interest in Pediatrics by completing another Pediatric course in 2021 after visiting the University of Iowa’s hospital, USA in 2019. Her visit to the Pediatric Optometry Department in Iowa; was to obtain Orthoptic knowledge to assist her with her passion in Visual Therapy. She keeps herself busy by attending workshops in order to obtain the newest research and treating methods to assist both young and older patients. When the time allows it; her hobbies include learning new creative skills, playing musical instruments and by doing Interior Designing.

Willem Pieterse
General Optometrist & Specialty contact lens fitting


Willem has been involved in optometric practice and management for almost 2 decades. He has always been interested in advanced contact lenses and ocular pathology, vascular-related as well as ocular surface problems. He has been to Moorefield’s Eye Hospital in London during 2011 where he did a contact lens fellowship under Mr. Ken Pullum (Senior Optometrist). During 2019 Willem visited and worked at the University of Iowa Eye Hospital, USA to receive training from Dr Christine Sindt (Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology) who was the founder and expert on EyeprintPro impression based scleral lenses. His interest and passion for complex contact lenses has helped to develop South African’s first modern scleral RGP contact lens fit set. Willem is actively involved with multiple presentations about advanced contact lens fitting all over in South Africa and has lectured often at universities and seminars across the country. Other interests are Surface Ocular disease (Dry eye), Diabetic health care and visual correction for near tasks.

Lerato Mosimane
Practice and debtors manager/Optical dispenser

Lerato has been in the Optometric Industry for also almost 2 decades. It started all by her doing a Dispensing Degree in Cape Town. She is currently both our Optical Dispenser and Practice Manager. Her technical skills and development over the years have allowed her to step out of her comfort zone to deal with different types of personalities. This has also highlighted the connection and the relationship she has with certain characters. She loves to make people smile and she aspires to be involved in life coaching in the future. Her hobbies include tennis and golf and she is passionate about cooking, entertaining, and enjoy hosting family and friends for dinner.

Chelana Coetzer
Contact Lens Dispenser and Dry Eye Clinic Assistant at Pieterse Optometrists


Chelana is an invaluable member of the Pieterse Optometrists team. She is passionate about her role as a contact lens dispenser and plays an active part in the Dry Eye Clinic. With her calm presence and professional approach, she helps patients feel at ease—even when dealing with the most technical aspects of eye care.
She approaches every patient with genuine care, patience, and attention. Whether assisting someone with their first pair of contact lenses or guiding them through dry eye treatment, Chelana’s empathy and strong communication skills shine through.
Known for her warm, friendly personality and ability to build trust, Chelana balances technical accuracy with personal care. She finds deep fulfilment in helping people improve their vision and eye health.
Outside of work, she enjoys action sports and quality time with her loved ones. A people person with a kind heart and strong sense of duty, Chelana is someone both colleagues and patients can always rely on.
